Region VII Management Acceleration Program
The Region VII Management Acceleration Program (MAP) is an expansive training program that provides Head Start/Early Head Start Directors & Managers a solid foundation of Head Start principles and management practices. Participants begin a professional development journey that takes them through a continuum of learning of key Head Start areas.
Designed specifically for Head Start staff new to their current position two years or less, the Management Acceleration Management Program is the Region 7 road map to a better understanding and navigation of the Head Start Program. 2025 MAP Training Flyer
In light of recent program requests and the evolving operational environment, Region VII Head Start Association (R7HSA) has adapted professional development opportunities to more effectively address program needs. This adjustment is driven by factors such as the ongoing government shutdown, updates to federal regulations, and restricted access to technical assistance and federal personnel. These challenges have prompted a flexible strategy for professional development opportunities offered by R7HSA.
Standalone Registration Opportunity, MAP Class of 2025 Session 6: Mental Health
Tuesday, February 17, 2026 ~ 9 am – Noon
As a direct response to these circumstances, Region VII Head Start Association will provide a standalone registration option for the 2025 Management Acceleration Program (MAP) Mental Health session. The Mental Health session will be presented by Region VII T/TA Staff. This opportunity enables interested individuals to participate in the Mental Health session independently, without the requirement to enroll in the full MAP program. The cost of this session is $325. Payment in full via credit card is preferred at the time of registration. Due to the compressed registration lead time, all registrations are final and non-refundable.
Certification and Program Completion
It is important to note that attendance at this Mental Health session, while beneficial, does not equate to completion of the overall MAP program. Consequently, participants will not receive MAP certification solely by attending this standalone session.
The schedule has been released – subject to change – for the remaining sessions of the 2025 Management Acceleration Program (MAP)!
- Session 5: Education January 20, 2026
