SUMMARY:Documenting Behavior: FirstDay Learning 3 Part Training
DESCRIPTION:Documenting Behavior: A Three-Part Series to Combat Challenging Behavior \nEffectively documenting behavior promotes growth. \nParticipants will apply the concept of ABC behavioral notes to their own classrooms and programs\, a crucial element in behavior change. Attendees will identify the function of challenging behaviors and explain how the function relates to effectively addressing those behaviors. Educators will plan specific strategies for their own children and programs based on behavioral functions. \nPART ONE\nMay 8th\, 2pm – 3 pm virtual training via Zoom\nNote the ABC’s\nParticipants will review behavioral sequences and practice simple ways to document them. Noticing and documenting these sequences is necessary to replace challenging behaviors. \nPART TWO\nJune 9th\, 1pm – 3 pm\, in-person training at the R7HSA Annual Conference\nFind the Function\nEducators will practice finding the function of behavior. When\nparticipants are confident in understanding the true purpose of\nbehaviors\, they can respond more effectively. \nPART THREE\nJune 9th\, 1pm – 3 pm\, in-person training at the R7HSA Annual Conference\nFunction-Based Interventions\nParticipants will practice function-based interventions. Educators will leave with targeted classroom strategies directly related to the motivation of their children’s behaviors. \nCOST OF 3-PART TRAINING: $319\nTarget audience: Teachers/Coaches\nOnly 25 slots available.
