Region VII Managmenet Acceleration Program (MAP)

MAP is an expansive training effort that provides New Directors and Managers, who have been in their current position two years or less, a solid foundation of Head Start principles and management skills. MAP is designed with a multi-tiered training approach which spans a two year period of time for enrolled participants. A new class is scheduled to begin each year. MAP launches with an intensive four day on-site training event in the Kansas City, MO area. Every three months after the initial training, specific technical training is offered. Additional trainings build on the initial

on-site training and provide continuous support to participants and further develop a strong knowledge base of key areas that are required for success at the grantee level. Program Governance, Fiscal Management and Internal Monitoring Systems as well as all areas of the Head Start Performance Standards are integrated throughout the training content. 100 clock hours are required for Region VII MAP Certification.
